PROTOTYPE. 168 of these locomotives were built between 1888 and 1900. They were allocated widely over the North British Railway system and originally engaged on long distance goods work but later were regularly employed on passenger duties. Most of the class passed into BR ownership. KIT. The body and tender is mainly brass with a nickel silver chassis. A nice level of detail including backhead is provided. There is a good representation of valve gear and motion between the frames. |
